My husband got his orders today FINALLY. We will be moving to Norfolk, VA sometime in late July. I've never been there. If anyone has any advice or knows anything about the area, feel free to share!

I lived there for a little while when I was a nanny for my sister's daughter. It is absolutely beautiful! We lived in Chesapeake. Just beautiful. I loved it, and so did my sis and her hubby the whole time they were stationed there. There really is SO MUCH to do in that area. And it is all gorgeous!
It is really nice there just try to say away for the VA beach strip ( to live ) that part gets kind of crazy in beach season. The bay is soooo pretty and there are some point were the bay is on one side and the ocean in the other. I live in richmond and go there a lot for fun in the sun.

Ah the military life...i grew up in it - til Dad retired. My sister married in to it and is stationed in TX...(army).
